Affomix Corporation (Branford, CT) is developing technology that permits high throughput production and screening of antibodies against virtually all human proteins, both as encoded and post-translationally modified, and was founded, in part, on research licensed by Affomix that was developed at a large pharmaceutical company.  Two Yale scientists are co-founders.   Elm Street partner and Affomix co-founder, Mike Sherman, has been President since the company’s start in 2006. In addition to co-founding the company and providing seed financing, Elm Street participated in a $7 million Series A funding in January, 2008. Co-investors include Four Seasons and Connecticut Innovations. Elm Street is represented on the board by Mike Sherman, Greg Gardiner, and Rob Bettigole(as an observer).
