Occam is developing more bioavailable forms of approved drugs, using non-covalent derivatization (“NCD”) technology developed by the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry (“WBI”).  Elm Street Ventures co-founded Occam Sciences with WBI in October, 2011, and provided seed financing.  Occam Sciences is initially targeting three approved drugs currently available only in i.v. form, and will seek to develop oral forms of these drugs.  Elm Street Ventures partner Rob Bettigole is serving as the initial CEO.  He is joined on Occam’s board by ESV venture consultant David Whittaker.
