P2 Science, Inc. (New Haven, CT) P2 Science is applying their proprietary ozonolysis technology to convert vegetable oils and other feedstocks into specialty chemicals, initially targeting the flavors and fragrances, polymers, lubricants, and surfactants markets. The company’s patent estate includes a novel class of surfactants invented by P2’s chief scientist, and licensed from Yale. Elm Street Ventures was a co-founder of the company and provided the initial seed capital. Connecticut Innovations is a co-investor. BASF Venture Capital and Xeraya Capital led P2’s Series B financing in February, 2017. The Company is building its first plant in Naugatuck, CT. ESV partner Rob Bettigole serves as Chairman on the board of directors.
